Turn those clothing memories into a snuggly memento! A t-shirt quilt makes a great gift for a special occasion. We’ll go through all the steps in creating your one-of-a kind quilt top from preparing the t-shirts, design, cutting fabric and sewing it all together. During the last session we’ll go through options for quilting and binding your quilt top.

This course presumes you know how to use your own sewing machine for basic straight stitching.

What is provided: 

• Cutting table, sewing table, iron and ironing board

• Tea and snacks at each session

• 12 hours of instructional time

• Materials for skill-building sample mat

What you need to bring:

• Your sewing machine

• Your t-shirts (not cut up yet!)

• 5 m of lightweight fusible interfacing (such as Pellon FF911)

You don’t need fabric for the first session. We’ll start preparing the t-shirt blocks and discuss options for sashing and borders and how much fabric you will need for the quilt that you want to make.
